Two new species of Gomphrena from Bolivia

Two new species endemic to Bolivia Gomphrena vallegrandensis Ortuño & S. Lozada-Gobilard and Gomphrena palmarensis Ortuño & Gutierrez, are described and illustrated. The first one only occurs in the Tucumano forest (Prov. Vallegrande), and the second, is restricted to the highest part of the Sub Puna close to the Inter-Andean dry forest in the El Palmar Integrated Management Natural Area. Here we present the full diagnosis of these two new species, their distribution, and a key for their identification.
