modified on 2024-08-27, 17:22 Overview: This project examines the hypothesis that bubble blasts associated with foraging are a behavioral adaptation used by PCFG gray whales to reduce the energetic cost of shallow foraging dives. To do this we examine the relationships between (1) bubble blast occurrence and individual morphology (length and body condition) and foraging tactic use, and (2) foraging dive duration and bubble blast occurrence, morphology, and behavior.
Code
- model_script.R - runs bayesian models
- functions.R - contains functions used for processing
- results_figures.R - processes outputs of models to produce results and figures in manuscript.
Data Description
- dataframe.csv - dataset containing individual behavior, morphology, and habitat information.
Video Ethogram
- VideoEthogram.mp4 - video containing examples of each foraging tactic in the ethogram
