Supporting teachers, supporting children

Published on (GMT) by Luke Stevens
In order to understand and plan a response to the professional development needs of teachers in relation to their students' health and wellbeing, The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) commissioned the Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) to survey early childhood and primary school teachers in NSW. This study asked: What professional development would support early childhood and primary school teachers in NSW in relation to their students' health and wellbeing? 1,777 valid responses to the survey were received from both primary and early childhood sectors, which were broadly representative of the demographics of teachers in NSW. The results were analysed for those in both the primary sector and the early childhood sector.
