George Harb

Published on (GMT) by Freja Howat-Maxted
Renowned speech maker of Bethlehem, George Harb, has donated a collection of images that document life in Bethlehem from the 1920s to present day. An elected member of the Municipal Council for 18 years and teacher of Arabic at the Frères school (the first in the region to go co-ed), Harb’s rich collection records Bethlehem’s political visitations and events; opening ceremonies in and around the city; as well as more personal family photographs of weddings and gatherings.
