Title of the dataset: Home experience and executive function development in preschoolers The data basically contains three main variables: parents play beliefs, preschoolers' activity at home and their executive function scores. Parental play beliefs and preschoolers' home activity were assessed using questionnaire with five point Liker scales. Preschoolers executive function skills (inhibitory control, shifting, and visual-spatial working memory) measured using computerized tests (go/no-go, switching, Mr. Peanut tasks, respectively). The executive function tests were administered in the preschools, in a separate room. The go/no-go task consisted of a total of 60 trials of which 40 were targets/go/ and the remaining were no-go trials. The switching task, on the other hand, consisted of 16 go and 8 no-go trials. In both go/no-go and switching tasks the stimulus screen appearing time was 1,500 ms. In order to analyze inhibitory control and shifting data sensitivity was computed using signal detection theory. Missing data was recorded as 999
