This data set consists of the following oceanographic variables collected by oceanographic instrumentation on 5 subsurface ocean moorings in the Irminger Current on the Reykjanes Ridge in the North Atlantic Ocean:
Velocity components in east-west and north-south direction (UCUR, VCUR)
Temperature (TEMP)
Salinity (PSAL)
Pressure (PRES)
Time (TIME)

The moorings are named IC0, IC1, IC2, IC3, and IC4 going from west to east. The subsurface ocean moorings were deployed from 11 July 2014 to 10 July 2015 by the Royal Netherlands Institute of Sea Research NIOZ, The Netherlands, as part of the Overturning of the Subpolar North Atlantic Program (OSNAP). 

The data have been calibrated, quality controlled and the velocity has been corrected for magnetic declination.The data and metadata are stored in NetCDF files following the Climate Forecast (CF) conventions, see http://cfconventions.org/
All information on the variables, the units, accuracy, the type of instrument that was used to collect them, the instrument locations, the sampling depth, the sampling interval, the time coverage, and more, are provided as attributes in the metadata. Missing data are represented by 99999.
