Zootaxa literature cited

List of literature cited by articles published in the journal Zootaxa. Data extracted by scraping Zootaxa web site, extracting list of literature cited from each article, and parsing each cited work using anystyle.io. Data available as TSV file (spreadsheet) and RIS file (can be imported by bibliographic software). HTML files and processing artefacts, such as references (one per line) and CSL JSON files, are also available for downloading. Code for this project https://github.com/rdmpage/zootaxa-cites-data.

The TSV file has a header row mostly of CSL terms (e.g., "title", "container-title", "DOI"). The first column ("guid") is the DOI of the Zootaxa article that cites that work, "guid-date" is the date of publication of the Zootaxa article. The final column "unstructured" is the original citation string. Each data row is a single work that is cited, the "guid" field groups together works cited by the same Zootaxa article.

Caveats: this data has not been cleaned, there are lots of cases where the parsing of the bibliographic data has been unsatisfactory. It is being made available as is with no claims as to its comprehensiveness or accuracy.
