HERStory Makers 2022

HERStory Makers is a social media competition for female-identifying early career researchers to share their research, their career journeys, and to inspire the next generation. Winners are selected by public vote. HERStory Makers is also part of EXPLORATHON, Scotland's contribution to European Researchers' Night. 

The videos in this collection were created by the researchers themselves as their entry to the competition. These were shared on social media channels between 18 and 28 September 2023, after which the vote was opened to members of the public to vote for their most 'inspirational' researchers. After the 24 hour voting window closed, the votes were tallied and the winners were announced.
