Design Justice Zine - "Not Yours to Generate"
"Not Yours to Generate" — Zine & Print Pack
This collection includes a digital zine and a printable version designed for educational use as part of the Design Justice module in the Human-Computer Interaction Master’s program at City, University of London (2025).
The project critically examines how generative AI tools reproduce culturally specific art styles without consent, credit, or compensation — particularly impacting Indigenous, Black, and non-Western creators. Drawing on frameworks from Design Justice and Data Feminism, the zine combines real-world evidence, case studies, and visual storytelling with design-based proposals for ethical alternatives.
Included in this collection:
- A digital zine (PDF)
- A print-ready version (PDF) with cut-and-fold instructions
This collection is intended for academic and non-commercial use, and may be reused with proper attribution.
