A modeling methodology to study the tributary-junction alluvial fan connectivity during a debris flow event -DATA

Posted on 2021-12-06 - 20:56 authored by Alex Garces
Here we include the dataset to reproduce the article: A modeling methodology to study the tributary-junction alluvial fan connectivity during a debris flow event published on NHESS.

1.- Pre-event, Post-event, and mitigation works topography of the Crucecita Alta tributary-junction alluvial fan and a river section.

2.- Satellite imagery of the Crucecita Alta alluvial fan depicts the main geomorphological changes due to high-intensity debris flow events.

3.- The distribution of the results of the models run by our Decision Support System (DSS), developed for this study.

4.- Flow discharge data at the outlet of Crucecita Alta catchment and the river just before their junction. Flow hydrographs were obtained from a distributed hydrological model, HEC-HMS version 4.2 (USACE, 2015). The model was configured for the entire Huasco River basin (7242 km2), upstream of the Santa Juana irrigation reservoir, as part of a debris flow mitigation project for the Chilean Ministry of Public Works (DOH).
