I’m interested in how climate change impacts marine invertebrates using genomic techniques. I obtained a B.S. in General Biology and B.A. in Environmental Policy from the University of California, San Diego. For my Ph.D at the Roberts Lab, I studied ocean acidification effects on Pacific and Eastern oysters using epigenetic techniques. My work was some of the first research to examine the impacts of low pH on the oyster methylome and determine how it impacts adult and larval phenotypes. I am currently a NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biology (PRFB) at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution working in the Tepolt lab. I examine how phenotypic plasticity and evolutionary adaptation shape European green crab thermal tolerance using "-omic" techniques. I also have projects in the Aluru and Tarrant labs exploring how hypoxia impacts Atlantic killifish and Caribbean corals.
