"I want to work for a company that is trying to make the world a better place." Whether that be in cancer medicine, plant genetic engineering, or designing better computer games I want to use data science to improve human wellbeing. Recently finished my Ph.D. researching colon cancer and the gut microbiome. Currently a PostDoc in the Hurwitz Lab working on other microbiome-related projects. Eventually, I want to enter industry working for a company where I can use my skills in bioinformatics and/or data science.
