René van der Wolf has a history and experience in military, psychological, and social work, and for the last twenty years he has been a researcher, writer, and publisher of law books. His main interest in the present days is the history of Charles the Bold and his landvogt, Peter von Hagenbach, the first war criminal to be sentenced to death.
