Prosper Bamara started his scientific career as a physico-chemist interested in geochemistry and basic science at Rwanda University and the Institute of Agriculture & Animal husbandry, then during postgraduate studies he pursued his passion in chemical engineering and bioprocess engineering research at the Center for Bioprocess Engineering Research - CeBER of the University of Cape Town (South Africa) where he became interested in hydrocarbon biotechnology and applied microbiology research. He worked and did research, teaching and consulting in energy, bioengineering, environmental science, biosecurity & biosafety, natural sciences and the air quality. His growing attraction to biomedicine, immunology and molecular & cell biology led him to join the Panama College of Cell Science for a PhD programme in Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine, with a particular research interest in Immunology and the optimization of analytical methods such as the Passive Double Immunodiffusion.
