Peter Brett

Peter T. B. Brett was born in Berkshire, U.K., on September 9, 1985. He received the B.A. Hons. degree and M.Eng. degree (with distinction) in engineering from the University of Cambridge, U.K. in 2009. He subsequently received the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Surrey, U.K. in 2014. From September 2004 to September 2005, he was a Year-in-Industry Student at Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd., Oxford, U.K. In 2008, he was a Placement Student at Cambridge Silicon Radio, Cambridge, U.K. In 2009, he was awarded a Doctoral Training Grant from the U.K. Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a Ph.D. studentship at Surrey Space Centre, University of Surrey, U.K., studying remote sensing applications and in particular the topic of change detection and urban monitoring with synthetic aperture radar. In 2013 he rejoined Sharp Laboratories of Europe as a Research Scientist, working on sensors and embedded systems. Dr. Brett is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
