Dr Mokutima Etido Ekpo received her legal education from the University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria and was called to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. As a young lawyer, Dr Ekpo practiced as solicitor and advocate in the Law Firm of Kanu G. Agabi (SAN) and Associates, Calabar, Nigeria and later rose to become the Managing Solicitor of the Calabar firm. As a law teacher, she has consistently taught company law, commercial law and taxation law in the University of Calabar, Calabar at the undergraduate level. She also teaches corporate law and management, environmental law and law of taxation with special bias for companies’ taxation at the post graduate level. Her doctoral research on corporate law has directorial responsibility for good and sustainable corporate governance as its core position. A need to compel company boards to govern sustainably is germane to a healthy economy. Dr Ekpo has a number of ongoing research works in these area
