I am interested in the understanding of factors that control ecological processes at tropical communities. I focus on how the land-use or environmental variation along ecological gradients influences species diversity and functional . I worked for a year and a half at rescuing the flora of Francisco J. Múgica dam prior to filling of it. At that time, I learned a great deal about plant functional traits and tropical dry forest tree species propagation techniques.
