Manuel F. G. Weinkauf

Micropalaeobiologist (Marine and estuarine ecology (incl. marine ichthyology))

Prague, Czech Republic

I have been studying Geology and Palaeontology at the Freie Universität Berlin between 2002 and 2010. There, I wrote my diploma thesis about the palaeoecological implications of calcareous dinoflagellate cyst assemblages in the Hauterivian of the Lower Saxony Basin. I then worked on the impact of environmental stress on the biometry and fluctuating symmetry, ecology, and evolution of planktonic Foraminifera during my Ph.D. at the Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen and the MARUM, Universität Bremen. Since 2020, I work as Academic Researcher at the Universita Karlova (Department of Geology and Palaeontology), where I study the evolvability and ecology of the marine plankton.
