He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics and communications engineering from Damascus University, Syria, in 2011, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical-electronics and telecommunications engineering from University Technology Malaysia, in 2014. In Dec. 2014, he joined the UTM MIMOS Center of Excellence as an Assistant Research Officer for half a year. In July 2015, he started working as a Ph.D. researcher with the Telecommunication Engineering (TE) Group in the Slow Wireless project, University of Twente, the Netherlands. In August 2018, he did a research visit for five months at Gapwaves AB, Göteborg, Sweden, during which he worked on MIMO antenna array characterization in RIMP and RLOS channel models. He is currently a Lecturer with the Radio Systems Group, University of Twente. His research interests include PHY of wireless sensor networks, wireless co-existence, and channel measurements, characterization & emulation.
