First field of interest is the neurobiology of marine invertebrates, the research about presence of signaling molecules in the nervous and endocrine systems of marine invertebrates, such as barnacles, echinoids, cnidarians and sponges. Attention is paid to the barnacle Amphibalanus amphitrite one of the major constituents of biofouling.
Therefore I study the sensory organs in fishes, with attention to the olfactory system from a cytological and histological point of view.
