Laurence Baldwin

Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing (B700 - Nursing; B760 - Mental health nursing)

Lincoln, UK

Over forty years experience in mental health nursing, mostly in Children and Young People's Mental Health. I am now a Senior Lecturer at the University of Lincoln, teaching on the BSc Nursing and pre-registration MSc Nursing programmes. I am also the Post Graduate research lead for the School of Health and Care Sciences, looking after PhDs and the Masters level research courses.

Formerly Assistant Professor in Mental Health Nursing at Coventry University, teaching and researching across departments and with local health providers.


Senior Fellow of the HEA.

I have worked at a national level with the Royal College of Nursing and Skills for Health, and presented my research work at conferences nationally and internationally. My research interests include: self-harm, ADHD and neurodevelopmental issues in young people, Critical Discourse Analysis, policy discourse, and professional identity issues. I am keen to pursue community based participatory research agendas.
