Lauren Sankovitch

Geoscientist (Earth sciences; Geochemistry; Geophysics)

Reno, NV

A queer woman in geoscience, I use my backgrounds in geology, publishing, and anthropology to get diverse audiences excited and invested in the science happening around them. I aim to be an approachable, vocal, and informative advocate for the sciences. After a career in comics editorial and television development, I returned to school and completed my Masters of Science in geology at the University of Nevada-Reno in 2024. My unique skill set includes research in high-temperature and hydrothermal geochemistry, extensive work in the field and the lab, web communications, and over 20 years of project management experience.
