As SVP, Product - Research Workflows for Digital Science , Kate leads product development and product-related community engagement to guide development of a suite of products including Figshare, Symplectic Elements and Symplectic Grant Tracker. Kate is an information specialist and an expert in research management and people-centric product management. Prior to joining Digital Science, Kate spent almost a decade in universities, specialising in academic libraries and scholarly publishing, research reporting, open access, researcher engagement and information and knowledge management. Kate is passionate about making research information management easier for all involved. Outside of Kate's salaried roles, she has undertaken numerous leadership roles within the library and information community, including notably through her work as Co-Creator of the International Librarians Network (ILN) which provided free peer-mentoring for over 6,000 librarians from around the world.
