Studied Zoology at the University of Oklahoma (B.S. 1995); Zoology and Genetics at Duke University (Ph.D. 2000). I then did postdoctoral work with Tom Turner (University of New Mexico) and Rick Grosberg (University of California at Davis) before taking a job at the University of Georgia in the Department of Genetics.
