Jocelyn Muller

Qualitative Research: Technical Specialist (Health sciences)

South Africa

I am an experienced qualitative research methodologist with a passion for participatory action research methods; conceived as a femininist philosophy, a methodology, a theory of learning, and as an engagement strategy. Every person has a story to tell—stories that will not only engage, inform, surprise, delight, but that will also impact social policy and deliver on social equality. And I am the conduit. As a research methodologist I help organisations refine the subject of their study, match this with methods that best fit the research approach, and then I produce high-quality content that meets the research objectives. I have steadfastly developed the knowledge and skills to contribute positively towards social change in South Africa; first as a student activist, then trade unionist, and more recently through field and policy research work in health, climate adaptation, ICT4D and energy for development sectors.
