He is a trained practitioner of mindfulness-based art therapy, a trained practitioner of cognitive behavioral therapy, a trained practitioner of matrix substance abuse therapy, and a trained facilitator of a therapeutic community and intensive treatment and rehabilitation programs for patients with substance use disorder.
He is currently connected to Lyceum of the Philippines University holding the position of Chairperson of the Department of Psychology. He also worked as a psychometrician in the Department of Health, Philippines, and HMICare Clinic and Diagnostic Center, Philippines. He handled cases related to stress, anxiety, depression, family conflicts, partner relational conflicts, parent-child relational conflicts, occupational problems, and various substance abuse.
His previous research engagement includes the Japan International Cooperation Agency-funded project for Introducing Evidence-Based Relapse Prevention Programs to Drug Dependence Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers
