Iona Goldie-Scot

Doctoral Researcher (Art history, theory and criticism not elsewhere classified)

Iona Goldie-Scot is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Maastricht University, within the research program ‘New Approaches in the Conservation of Contemporary Art’ (NACCA), a Marie Curie Innovative Training Network funded by the European Commission. The focus of her present research is the exploration of opportunities of audience participation for the documentation and conservation of performance-based artworks with the objective to develop a documentation method accommodating future re-execution. In doing so, it addresses urgent questions about distributed responsibilities, the longevity and re-execution of performances and their documentation emerging in the wake of live-art accessioning.
