Dr. Eng. Iulian-Sorin Munteanu is a Scientific Researcher Grade II with over 21 years of experience as a senior scientific researcher at NRDI for Mechatronics and Measurement Techniques, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Mechanisms and Robot Theory Department at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Robotics from POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, Romania, since 2022; he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics in 1999, completed a Master’s degree in "Engineering Systems for Precision Mechanics" in 2000, and obtained his PhD in 2010, while holding experience in over 40 R&D projects and possessing 7 invention patents, for which his work has received international recognition with 11 gold and 10 silver medals; additionally, Dr. Munteanu has an inventor profile in the "Encyclopedia of Personalities in Romania: Who is Who," included in the "Hübners Who Is Who" series, both in the 4th edition and 6th edition (2011); he coordinated the drafting team for the Occupational Standard - MECATRONIST TECHNICIAN, developed in 2007, marking the first such standard in Romania, founded the CFE-MECATRON Center where he served as Trainer and Evaluator, and between 2008 and 2020, held the position of Secretary General of the CDI Section of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest; he has been a member of the APROMECA Board of Directors since 2019, President of the Mechatronics Circle of AGIR, and currently serves as the Executive Director of the MECHATREC Cluster since 2023.
