I am currently leading research projects on the institutionalisation of open data; university-community engagement and its impact on knowledge production and transfer; open data intermediaries; and the changing revenue models of university presses.
In addition to my academic interests, I am the managing director of COMPRESS.dsl and a trustee of the not-for-profit, open access publisher African Minds.
