Filippo Piccinini

Computer Scientist (Information and Computing Sciences; Biological Sciences)

Throughout my University studies in Bologna-Italy I showed a great capacity to carry out tasks quickly and effectively. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering perfectly on time, obtaining the maximum mark in both (i.e. 110 cum Laude). I also won the "Mario Pasquini Best Master Thesis Award” (2010 edition) and was awarded a ministerial grant to immediately start a PhD in Information Technologies at the University of Bologna and ETH Zurich Switzerland. I completed my studies after only 3 years and had the honour of being elected as the PhD student representative to give the speech at the PhD graduation ceremony (1200 people, including 380 PhD students, were present). After my PhD, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for 4 years at the University of Bologna, acting as a Tutor for several courses of Informatics, but also gaining wide-ranging experience in Microscopy and Cell Biology... you can find my full CV at:
