I am a PhD Candidate in primatology at the CUNY Graduate Center in Dr. Andrea Baden's Hunter Primate Molecular Ecology Lab (www.hunterpmel.org), and am also a part of the New York Consortium in Evolutionary Primatology (www.nycep.org). My research interests include non-human primate social behavior, vocal communication, and conservation technology.
My PhD dissertation research examines black-and-white ruffed lemur vocalizations and how acoustic technology (e.g., passive acoustic monitoring, machine-learning) can be used in conservation efforts for this Critically Endangered species. I conduct this research in Mangevo, a pristine rainforest site in Ranomafana National Park, Madagascar (in collaboration with Centre ValBio research station).
