Cécile de Francquen is a PhD student at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium.
Graduated in both Archaeology and Anthropology, she is specialized in studying pottery technology and production processes through the use of the chaîne opératoire canevas. She have been working in South America, Africa and South-East Asia.
Her PhD project consist of a comparative approach of traditionnal pottery manufacturing processes in Mainland South-East Asia, to trace back the history of technical changes and exchanges between social groups.
