Beatrice E.A. Sankah

Physiotherapy researcher (Physiotherapy; Rehabilitation)

Dr Beatrice Sankah is a Ghanaian physiotherapist with a PhD from University of Southampton, UK. She is a visiting researcher at University of Southampton, UK and leads the Evidence-Based Practice Research Group, Ghana Physiotherapy Association. With over 15 years academic and research experience, she is keen on advancing rehabilitation education, practice and research globally. Her research interests include long term Musculoskeletal (MSK) rehabilitation, patient public involvement and global health. Dr Sankah is also passionate about promoting evidence-based rehabilitation globally but is particularly focused on Africa due to the knowledge gaps within the region. This led to her creation of the Evidence-Based Practice research group amongst other initiatives in Ghana. Through collaborations, she works to support the capacity building of emerging rehabilitation professionals to support global efforts in advancing rehabilitation and evidence-based practice in Africa and beyond.
