Anthony Artino

Anthony R. Artino, Jr., Ph.D., is Professor and Deputy Director for Graduate Programs in Health Professions Education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Ph.D. in educational psychology, Dr. Artino has accrued over 20 years of experience as a Naval Officer and, more recently, as a leader in the field of medical and health professions education. In his current role, he is responsible for graduate-level teaching, research, faculty and student supervision, and administrative leadership for both the Masters and Ph.D. programs, and he holds academic appointments in the Departments of Medicine and Preventive Medicine & Biostatistics. He is a Deputy Editor for the Journal of Graduate Medical Education and an Assistant Editor for Academic Medicine.
