Spatial Planner, Andrea Omizzolo (PhD) is Senior Researcher at Eurac Research in Bolzano/Bozen. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo” (IT). Through his scientific career, the PhD and a specific Masters in Regional and Local Development in Protected Areas at the University of Teramo (IT) he became an expert in local and regional development with focus on mountain environment, protected areas and marginal areas. His main research interests include Spatial and Urban Planning, Community Development, World Natural Heritage Management, Protected Areas, human-wildlife relationship and conflict, biodiversity knowledge and awareness, Ecosystem Services, Property and Land Fragmentation, Green Tourism and definition and demarcation of territories.
