Ana M. P. Melo

Executive Director of BioData.pt (Biological sciences; Health sciences; Engineering)

Oeiras, Portugal

I am a biologist capable of bridging the gap between science and management. I've done research in Bioenergetics of plants, fungi and bacteria for almost 20 years and embraced managing science since 2012, starting as Director of Cooperation and Representation at the Tropical Research Institute in Portugal. I am resilient, committed, proactive, with autonomy and ability to make great things happen. Ease in adaptation to new challenges and rapid acquisition of new knowledge. Experience of leadership in management of international multidisciplinary teams and motivation to accomplish objectives, team player. Academic degrees: Plant Biologist with Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and Post graduation in Management.
