I am an environmental toxicologist with a strong background in biochemistry and microbiology. Over the past decade I have been fortunate to be part of multiple research teams. Experienced in field and laboratory techniques for in situ, in vivo and in vitro analyses; data management and in silico analyses; ontology and knowledge graphs; systematic literature review; research planning, funding, and implementation; public outreach; and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to provide situation analysis, creative solutions and establish good working relationships. Advocate for new approach methodologies (NAMs) for the reduction and refinement of animal testing and increased efficiency of chemical risk assessment.


I presently work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at the Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology Division. My current efforts are focused on the development and application of U.S. EPA’s Ecotoxicity Knowledgebase (ECOTOX; www.epa.gov/ecotox) to enhance the cross-compatibility of in silico tools for predicting mechanisms of toxicity such as the Adverse Outcome Pathway Wiki, Sequence Alignment to Predict Across Species Susceptibility Tool, and the Generalized Read Across tool.
