Director of the Archaeological Park of Seradina-Bedolina (Capo di Ponte, Valcamonica). My research is particularly concerned with the prehistoric rock-art of Valcamonica and other Alpine sites. I have conducted several documentation fieldworks in Central Alps and devoted extensive research about specific subjects – e.g. images of birds, musical instruments, single rocks or entire areas. I have also applied a multivariate analysis to image frequency and association among the statue-menhir of Valcamonica and Valtellina and developed digital techniques for traditional 2D recording of rock-art. One of my research interest involves the history of rock-art studies, with specific focus on Western Europe and the Alpine region. My actual work is devoted to the survey, recording and study of the rock-art inside the Archaeological Park of Seradina-Bedolina, the analysis of the so-called “topographic compositions” and spatial analysis relative to style variations among Middle Valcamonica sites.
