'A Systematic Review of Invisible UK Azad Kashmiris in the NHS Mental Services'.pdf
Pakistani-Occupied Kashmiris (POK), also known as Azad Kashmiris, face dual discrimination based on their nationality and mental health. According to this systematic review, the POK are deprived of a name and identity in the United Kingdom and of the human right to access NHS mental healthcare, leaving them vulnerable to poor health outcomes. This lack of healthcare access seriously affects the community, such as the increased risk of mental health issues, poverty, radicalisation and grooming. To address this issue, it is essential to recognise this community's unique needs and provide them with the necessary mental healthcare resources.
In this systematic review, the gap in the literature on UK POK has been identified, along with the importance of further research to inform policy and practice. With implications for future research, this review provides a comprehensive overview of the existing literature and a meta-analysis,
