Rust to Oxygen Gas - Terraforming with GMOs

This paper posits a novel idea for terraforming Mars into a planet with a breathable atmosphere. The method of accomplishing this is the development and deployment of a GMO capable of converting Mars' abundant stored oxygen in the form of rust, into a breathable gas. It goes on to describe how once this is accomplished the atmosphere could be thickened to trap heat. The end result is a habitable second home for humanity.
