This thesis examines the impact of reproductive and metabolic conditions including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and gestational diabetes (GDM) on women's health across their life course. It presents how often PCOS occurs by geographic world regions and in adolescents, shows increased adverse birth outcomes in women with PCOS, and identified barriers and enablers to uptake of type 2 diabetes screening and postpartum healthy lifestyles among women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with prior gestational diabetes.
