This study develops and validates an analytical model for measuring the quality of school life for Bulgarian students based on the existing large-scale international
assessments (PISA 2018 and PIRLS 2016). It conceptualize the domains of school life to which students respond and provides a consistent set of estimates of QSL in primary and upper secondary education in Bulgaria. The study explores how
different aspects of school life are linked to students’ outcomes and their
intentions to progress in education.
