Phosphine catalysed coupling reactions of terminal alkynoates and surrogates via a vinyl phosphonium intermediate

This thesis examines novel phosphine catalysed reactions of terminal alkynoates and surrogates. Specifically, an enantioselective (3 + 2) annulation affording cyclopentenes, and a dual catalyic radical coupling enableing alkylation of terminal alkynes are explored.
