thesis
posted on 2025-05-06, 00:42 authored by Yitayeh Belsti Mengistu
This thesis presents research that fills key gaps in identifying high-risk pregnancies, specifically focusing on utilising healthcare data and risk prediction tools to identify high-risk pregnancies to ultimately guide decision-making. The findings contribute to the main aim of improving maternity care by identifying the current trend of obstetric burden, enhancing gestational diabetes risk stratification, and preventing related complications, mainly postnatal diabetes. It provides the necessary evidence for the next steps that includes implementing the developed models into clinical practice and national guidelines to improve women's health throughout the life course and that of the next generation.
