Dissident Queers: Politically Ambivalent Historiographic Art

thesis
posted on 2025-03-10, 04:50 authored by Callum James McGrath
Dissident Queers proposes an approach to art-making that resists the dominant ideological and political conditions underpinning representations of queer history and culture. Through configurations of materials that include still and moving images, documents and objects, this project proposes mediations of the past that interrogate the presupposed economic, political and ideological paradigms of queer political art.
