Breast Tumor Detection Documentation
Breast cancer detection is pivotal for early diagnosis and effective treatment. In this project, we present a MATLAB-based system aimed at enhancing breast cancer detection through advanced image processing techniques. The system preprocesses mammographic images to reduce noise and enhance clarity, followed by segmentation to isolate regions of interest indicative of potential malignancy. Our approach prioritizes automation to streamline the detection process and reduce reliance on subjective interpretation. Leveraging MATLAB's flexibility, the system offers a customizable platform for algorithm development and optimization, ensuring adaptability to diverse datasets and clinical scenarios. Validation through rigorous testing on benchmark datasets and clinical studies is imperative to ascertain the system's efficacy. We anticipate that our breast cancer detection system will contribute to early diagnosis, thereby improving patient outcomes and facilitating timely interventions in clinical settings.
