Antimicrobial Resistance in the Pacific Island countries and territories

thesis
posted on 2023-04-12, 22:06 authored by MICHAEL JAMES LOFTUS
Antimicrobial resistance – where micro-organisms such as bacteria no longer respond to the drugs used to treat them – is recognised as a significant global health threat, however little is known about antimicrobial resistance in the Pacific Islands region. This thesis examines the prevalence, the drivers, and the clinical impact of antimicrobial resistance across a number of Pacific Island countries.
