dsOMOP is an open-source software suite designed to support secure federated analysis of standardized clinical data across distributed institutions. By combining the privacy-conscious analytical capabilities of DataSHIELD with the standardized clinical data representation provided by the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership Common Data Model (OMOP CDM), dsOMOP enables collaborative research on sensitive healthcare datasets without sharing individual-level data.

The dsOMOP project provides a collection of interoperable R packages and tools to simplify data extraction, harmonization, and analysis within a federated analytical environment. The suite emphasizes privacy, data governance, and reproducibility, aligning with international ethical standards and regulations for multi-institutional health research.

Developed to support collaborative epidemiological and clinical studies, dsOMOP promotes efficient, secure, and standardized analysis of distributed health datasets, enhancing researchers’ ability to derive insights from large-scale, multicenter clinical research while respecting patient privacy and institutional data governance requirements.

This resource includes software, comprehensive documentation, and illustrative vignettes demonstrating common analytical workflows.
