This tool, developed using a modified CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation) method—specifically, the Distance Correlation-based CRITIC (D-CRITIC) method—evaluates and compares the relative importance of health security indicators across Western Asia. It was applied to determine the relative importance of these indicators for countries categorized by income group: Low-Income Countries (LICs), Lower-Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), Upper-Middle-Income Countries (UMICs), and High-Income Countries (HICs). The analysis provides insights for 2019 and 2021, with a particular focus on the LIC and LMIC groups.
