GeneratingMaps: Synoptic views of the trough using polar TEC

This is a Python Jupyter Notebook providing code that was used to generate synoptic polar views of the midlatitude ionospheric trough in the publication. This code relies on Greg Starr's automatic trough detection (details in project description) and uses the processed data to produce TEC maps in both hemispheres with the trough highlighted in a labelled mask.
